Well Kitty was 14 in 1980 add 21 years and you get 35.Peter was 19 in 1975 add 26 and you get 44 *AGH*But it REALLY depends on WHEN Marvel decides to age them.I mean Kurt was 20 when he started the X-Men but he didnt have a birthday until 6 years later in 1981 but no one else had a birthday later that year.Atleast not that we recall. So Peter remained 19 for who knows how long before they decided to age him. When one character ages so should another.Say EVERY character ages EVERY 5 years. That might be less confusing.Am I making any sense?Probably not.Actually I think Im more confused now.*sigh*

I generally think of them not aging. They're timeless and always in the now. That makes it neccessary to "update" the characters periodically, like Magneto for instance had been in a concentration camp during WWII. That's going to have to be updated sooner or later. In Ultimate X-men they have more modern backgrounds. As for Kurt, I think the gypsy stuff is really getting moth eaten. One reason I'm very intrigued about Ultimate Kurt is just what kind of background does he have? Is there any circus, or gypsies or is it something different? I hope we get to find out.

But this life experience is the whole basis of Magneto's beliefs. How can they ever change it? I mean, of course they can't age Magneto....he'd be about 80 and doddering by now....but time must pass eventually. Of course, they have gotten around his age (and Xavier's) with cloning, de-aging, etc. etc. Hey, I'll buy that

I agree the gypsy stuff just doesn't sell these days. It's very antiquated. I'm curious to see why/how he ended up in Weapon X as well. I am very much interested in the Ultimate X. I wonder if Mystique will play into the plotline at all? Hate to think she'd let those slobs do that to her boy. Seems like she'd be pretty pissed off if she found out.

Well Ultimate is so different, I wouldn't be surprised if Mystique isn't even related to Kurt. But Mystique is in the next issue, so I think she'll have a big part to play. God I wish that issue would come out already!!
As for Mags, I probably should look it up, I don't have a copy of Ult #1 I read the dot.comic and now my memory is a bit vague, but I think the idea is that he's been involved in one of those Eastern European conflicts.

Aagh!!
When did they give Kitty her 15th b-day party? Wasn't that in a reprint of the Krakoa story?
Whatever, she was 13, 14 or so when Pete was 19 so....ugh!

It can't be so different that his parentage would change. All the circumstances of his birth, sure, but nothing else----unless we will actually get more truths this time around (I wish). An I'm sure he's still fuzzy

I don't think other than the concentration camps, that we've ever REALLY known who Mags really is. That would make it easy to make him one of the victims, or near victims of the "ethnic cleansing", ah hell, genocidal tendencies happening there, as we really don't know his race. It was alluded that he MIGHT be a Jew, but then, I could just be trailing off not having a CLUE as to what I'm saying....
Cool idea.
